I went down to the Lower Yuba yesterday and was amazed at how high it was.

Later I looked at the Dept. of Water Resources page for the Yuba and looked at the interesting spike in flow(s)

For example....

M Flow CFS

2/22/09 - 721
2/23/09 - 2807
2/24/09 - 6327

There is a column labeled FNF with no data since 2/15/09, and where there is data, the numbers are considerably different.

What's the difference between these two measurements? Should I care?

Just wondering....

Hey Bonneyville-- I usually go to the CDEC webstie and look at elevation of water surface. For instance, the best steelhead fishing I have ever had on the Yuba was four years ago when they kept the water at 62.5-feet at the Marysville guage. Since then, they simply will not put any more water in-- they keep it at 61.5-- at least I haven't checked today-- I'm sure it's up.

Also, check the inflows to Shasta. It was coming in at 83,000 cfs!
