Ok so I have this 30 foot section of T8, and three braided loops. Cut it into 5, 10 and 15 foot sections. How do I tie the T8 to the braided loops. There are no instructions:eek: Ok on the other end can I just tie a nail knot with 25 or 30 pound butt tippet. I have been fly fishing for years, but am a totally lost with all this spey stuff. How long of a leader after the T8 or T11. Don't worry when I get out to the river I will be way out of everyones way.

You have to slid the braided loops onto the flyline. Its like slipping your finger into a chinese finger trap. You can inch the line into the braided loop until it butts up to the end of the loop. I will hit the end of the fly line with a drop of C/A glue. I will lash down the other end with a nail knot or slide some tubing over the end to keep it from coming unraveled. A small drop of glue at that end will keep it secure as well.

Wow that was pretty easy. Thanks Fats.

leaders can be very short - I normally just albright a 25# butt section maybe 12" long to the sink tip end and put a loop in the end of the butt section. I then loop to loop a level section of tippet - I am often fishing no more than 3 feet of tippet. I will normally double my loop on my tippet to let it seat better on the thicker 25# butt - normally I will tie a long loop using a king sling or spider hitch then double this loop using a surgeons knot

That sounds good on the sink tip to leader. At first I tied a nail knot on the sink tip to leader. An albright seems safer. Thanks Rick.
