Isn't it nice when that oh so sweet smell of skunk leaves the air and travels to someone else. Good job guys and nice looking fish.

did it feel good to put a "1" rather than a "0" on the steelhead report card?

Definately nice to let the skunk smell flow away in the breeze. Both these fish were hatchery females. Mine was spewing water out her vent so I believe she must have spawned recently. My little 5 weight was practically useless! I can't wait to go back out and try again.

Nice fish, guys. Congratulaions. Charlie Gonzales took me for a drift last Wednesday and put me into plenty of fish. I managed to land my first American River steelhead, an absolute chrome 14 inch wild fish. I also LDR'd a couple other bigger fish, one of which screamed off with one hell of a run before it came off. What a thrill. I can't wait till I bring a fish like you guys landed to hand. It must be unbelievable.

Sweet! Good going fellas. I've been trying for steel up here in the Skagit for 2 years now with a big goose egg going for me! I hope one finds me soon!

It must have been the camo.

Deffinately the Camo! My Redington breathables started leaking last winter fishing for steelhead on the Trinity. I was absolutley freezing to death. I made the mistake of buying some Hendrix Outdoors breathables at one of the flyshops in Weaverville to fish the afternoon. Those pieces of gargbage were leaking the 3rd time I wore them. I decided just to wear the duck hunting waders and man I was nice and warm! I wasn't there to make a fashion statment anyways :)
