Fishing was tough, no hatches, no skwallas. But Mike picked up his first fish on a dry.

:eek: Yes I did! It was also my first time on the Yuba (great river!) and my first ATTEMPT to catch a fish on dries! What a cool day. Charlie and I fished toegether once before...we really don't get along...

I actually had a takedown earlier in the day (a much much larger fish, according to mr G :D) but he ran right at me and I couldn't catch up...

These Yuba fish fight much bigger than they are...This guy isn't huge, but ran 360 degrees around the boat and took line the whole way...ran away, ran at me and then hunkered down and would not budge...here I am putting pressure on...

I thought Charlie was going in after this fish with that net...

It was a great day, great company, super food for snackies and lunch...somebody had to do it and I'm glad it was me!!
