The governor is attempting to disband Boating & Waterways. We pay for that department with our boat fuel taxes and boating registrations.
If disbanded, there will be no control of the water hyacinths and other invasive species in the delta. Certain waterways will become impassible and large clumps of vegetation will drift throughout the system, a major hazard to navigation.
