Hey Gang,
I feel compelled to help the success of this film in any way that I can. You may have been to the website www.riversofalostcoast.com.

The producer is trying to debut his film in the SF International Film Festival. I don't know what kind of progress he has made but it might help if you email, film@sfweekly.com, something to the effect of "it might be nice to see a little article about the film project in their paper". SF Weekly usually does the advertising for the SF International Film Festival I believe, maybe they have some sway.

Nonetheless, the more the word gets out, the better the positive effect this film will have on the masses. If 10 of you sent emails I am sure it would have a great effect.

Thank you so much!
~Walt

Justin was in the shop today and it looks like they are set for the S.F. film festival. He hopes to have the film out shortly there after. He is also looking to book a local theater in Sac. to have a viewing. (perhaps the Crest)

...he just let me know via email he is "not set." The film festival makes its announcements in February.

I really think you could help him out by emailing the SF Weekly Film section and showing your interest in his project. It could go a long way.....

OK... not to be a smart @$$ but what is the movie about? I've seen a couple of mentions about it on fishing boards but I think I missed the memo. I'm all for helping but I need to know more.

Alan,
Scroll down in the Steelhead Board back about 3 pages and Bill posted a link that includes a trailer on the movie.

Problem when I copy and paste it here it takes you somewhere else but if you click his link it will get you to the movie trailer.

It is about the old timers who really started the fly fishing trend on the north coast for steelhead and salmon
