Mike will be putting on a nice presentation for Kiene's fly Shop at Watt Avenue on January 31, 2009, Saturday at 10:00am.

Mike said it will partly be about fishing "ultra short heads" which he, Scott O'Donnell and Ed Ward are promoting now.

Bring your waders and two handed rods.......

Anyone who loves steelhead and especially spey steelhead will enjoy Mike's insights into the "game".
He, Scott and Ed are on the cutting edge of spey fishing for steelhead.
Having attended two of his Watt Ave. "seminars" in the past, I learned a ton, got some private instruction, and am not going to miss this very talented local guy made it to the bigtime and his comments on 1/31/09.

Mike is one of the great guys in the spey/steelhead world. Not only is he a great instructor, caster, and fisherman but he is one hell of a good guy. Each year my dad and I head up to Oregon's North Coast to fish with Mike and Scott and it is a ton of fun. There is no better way to spend a few days than with these guys chasing steelhead and laughing it up on the banks of some of the most beautiful and pristine steelhead water in the Pacific Northwest.

For those interested in steelhead and Spey you should try to make it out for this demo. You will get to me a pioneer in the industry and might even learn a thing or two and have fun doing it!

Just got off the phone with Mike McCune.

We will meet him under the Watt Avenue Bridge on the Lower American River @ 10:00am tomorrow morning, Saturday, January 31, 2009.

The shop opens at 9:00am if anyone wants to stop by before the demonstration.

Mike will be coming by the shop after the demo too.
