Could somebody tell me the difference in some of the older Sage rods. Like Traditional, Euro, Brownie, Greenee, Graphite lll & lV which are fast, med, slow action. Thanks Dan H.

That is a long history.......25 years?

We sold everything Sage made sense they started so we a familiar with all their rods.

I'm sure Sage has a history in print somewhere with all the production dates for each new series.

The first rods were actually fiberglass for a short time.

I think their first series was the GFL which was quite soft.

Then the RP or Reserve Power was very fast/stiff.

Then RPII...........

RPL or Reserve Power Light was a new series with the Graphite III and a very popular series for years.

RPL+ was a very fast version.

Then we had SP series which was green and very smooth. Graphite IV.

The SP+ for a faster version.

In there somewhere was the famous LL or Light Line for delicate trout fishing.

Then XP came out.

For salt water they had the RPLX, then the RPLXi and then the Xi2.(Blue)

For entry level we had first DS or Discovery Series (Gray). The DS2 (Brown).

Now we have Z-Axis, ZXL and TCX.

I am sure Sage has it in their archives somewhere with descriptions.
