The Fly Fishers of Davis will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, November 25 at 7:30 p.m. at Harper Jr. High School in Davis. Brian Slusser will discuss fly fishing opportunities in the Truckee Area, including where to stay and how to wade the Truckee River. Brian is an outdoor enthusiast who was drawn to the Truckee-Tahoe area for the outstanding skiing. However, he got a bonus in the excellent fly fishing for wild Rainbow and Brown Trout in the Truckee River. During the winter months, Brian works as a full-time Professional Ski Patroller. During the summer, a fully addicted fly fishing nut. Brian is finishing his twelfth season in the Truckee area, and will share some of his tactics gleaned from many days on the water. He enjoys watching difficult fish eat dry flies, and the surprise of fishing subsurface and not knowing what exactly may take your fly.
