Somebody better jump on that boat.......................???

You could have it for 5 to 10 years and still sell it for $3000.

New driftboats full equipt are over $10,000 now.

What do you hear?

Nice looking boat at a great price. I'd jump if I didn't already have one.

Sorry, boat is gone. I guess I wasn't asking enough, got well over a hundred emails. If you feel I didn't get back to you I apologize but the emails where overwhelming. I tried but couldn't keep them in order. I tried to get back to everyone timely. Thanks for all the interest.

I knew it was a steal....if I wanted it I would have drive to his house with cash in hand.....somebody did.

Drift boats now fully rigged are over $10,000 so any decent drift boat at $5000 is a good buy. A bare hull is $5000 new then a trailer, oars and accessory is another $5000.

I've been looking online a lot for a used drift boat in this price range. This is the best deal I've seen by far. Whoever got it is very lucky.

Bill,

Respectfully with the economy the way it is right now, a new drift boat can be had for way less than 10 grand. 10 grand is the retail price, but this time of year, nobody should have to pay retail. In 2005 I bought a new drift boat for $3,000 under MSRP. And given the way things are going, I would bet that it's not too hard to get a price close to pro deal on a new drift boat. The used market is "hot" because people are re-adjusting their expectations. $3,000 may have been a bit low, but not by that much.

Think about how many people bought drift boats on their home equity line of credit say 3-4 years ago, and how many people are doing it now. This has got to be eating away at the drift boat sales big time.

I think 2009 is going to be a really slow year for drift boat sales, people are cutting back on all forms of credit to buy things. Next year may even be a better time to buy. I would not be surprised to see a few drift boat companies go out of business over the next couple years. It's a shame, but right now things are not looking good.

I agree with bigtj. I tried selling my 17' Willies aluminum boat a year ago and I was hard pressed to get any emails let alone offers at the 2k price range. I ended up towing it to Willies up in Medford and dropped some cash to add all that I was looking for in a boat. Still under 5K with an almost brand new boat...need to buff it out and do some work to the trailer and it's ready for another 20 years.

Pro-Form on any new boat is right at $7000. I just replaced this boat with a new Pro-Form boat. All the big 3 glass companies are at the same price point. Plus cover and accessories you are not getting a boat for under $7500. Remember that's Pro Form. $8600 plus all the BS is still consumer price. Remember shipping. Bill's not that far off.
This must have been a pretty good deal seeing as I got over 100 eMails.
