Is this something I can put on my 3 weight floating line in order to get deeper in the water. Do they really work?

What I was originally thinking was to get a new reel or spool with an intermediate line. But then someone mentioned the versileaders.

Any previous experience with these woud be greatly appreciated.

They would be used on a 3 weight for stillwater fishing.

I have used these in Spey fishing applications, they are great to maintain the proper stick on the water when using a spey rod.

I see no reason why they wont work for stillwater applications. They are convenient to use as they come in many sink rates and you simply blood knot your tippet to the end of them.

Airflo has them in Trout models in 5 and 10 foot lengths in different sink rates.

Them seem to be very popular...............
