With the price of gas (as of today) looks like I could stand to go fishing Monday thru Friday.
I hope it goes down a little more but I guess OPEC is crying and plan on if they haven't already cut down production. In the past weeks, $200.00 per week for gas was pretty steep and that slowed down my fishing - distance wise.

Haven't checked the airline ticket prices yet? I heard for the Thanksgiving weekend the ticket price was going up. Shouldn't the price go down if the cost of fuel goes down.

Oh well, let's hope this world economy starts looking better

Jay,
It may or may not forecast the gas prices out west but here in Okla. gas has dropped to $2.35/gal.

Anchorage is down to $3.49. Go figure. We produce all that oil and we have the highest prices in the USA. Some of the villages pay 8$. We are getting screwed.

Hi Jeff

We must have way more tax of gas out here in CA?

When I was young I had a new 1970 VW Bug that was $2,250.00 new and it got 25 mpg.

I put $1000 down and paid the rest off in 6 months.

Gas was 25 cents a gallon?

We rented half a duplex then for $85/month.

Our first house in Sacramento was $17,000 around that same time.

When I was a kid on Saturdays we walked to the movie theater and for a quarter we watch movies, world news, comics and cereals all day long.

Now they have $100 athletic shoes?
