Eagle Lake

I was wondering if someone could tell me how long it takes to drive to Eagle Lake from Sac and what the best route is to take. Thanks.

It's about 4 hours from Sac and there are 2 routes you can take, I5 to Red Bluff, then Hwy 36 to Susanville, or I80 to Reno, then Hwy 395 to Susanville. Both are about the same time, they just provide different scenery and fishing options in route.

I fly fished Eagle lake for the first time last weekend and had a great time. Caught a total of 8, smallest at 18", largest and new personal best was 21.5", rest at 19" and 20".
