I hit the Trinity for about 5 hrs this morning. Mostly in the Hoopa area. No biggins but 2 nice "half-ponders" and about 20 little fellas. Most were caught on Explosion Stones.

I was using my 5wt though so it was a good time.
I was amazed when driving back to Redding at the amount of people fishing the river. They're everywhere. I stopped and watched a few people fish at various locations. One guy was using a fly rod with a spinning reel and some huge lure. As much as I love the Trinity in the winter, I will probably avoid it with the exception of 1 or 2 trips.
