You can click on the photos on his blog to make them much larger.

He adds fish reports to his blog almost daily.

Local drift boat guide Ryan Miller is working for 'Angling on the Fly' travel service but he is taking off the next two month to guide every day for trout and steelhead.

He will be on the Lower Yuba, Lower Feather and Lower Sacramento Rivers in October and November.

Hi Bill,

Thank you for the post! The rivers mentioned are fishing very well. Salmon numbers are good on the Feather and Yuba. The salmon on the Sac are taking their sweet time, I saw plenty of them in the Barge Hole. There are good numbers of salmon and steelhead in the lower river that are on their way. Be ready... a week or two and the sac will be rockin'. For these rivers fish are keyed into egg patterns, however, still find it hard to pass up mayflies and caddis.

I have had success on (Feather, Yuba and Lower Sac):
-Pettis's unreal egg
-Hogan's S&M Nymph, brown and olive # 16
-Bird's Nest, olive # 14 and 16
-Quasimodo PT # 16 and 18
-FBPT # 16
-Micro May's brown and olive #16 and 18
-stones
-odd and ends (your favorite variations)

all of this is under an indicator. Swinging flies is an option for the Feather and Yuba, try caddis emergers and wooly buggers.

Kiene's is currently well stocked with these flies, indicators and knowledge.

I will be on the Yuba tomorrow.

Fish it up-
