Went fishing with Eric on Saturday and ran into Ed and Phil. Had a great day on the water, caught my biggest fish to date on my 3 weight, a nice fat smallie on a small deer hair popper I tie. Lost a real good LMB on a fly tied by Matt Frey from the fly swap I did on here. I will need some more of those Matt. Caught lots of small smallies and a mess load of pike minnows. With the occasional sunfish thrown in.

It is just amazing just how much good fly fishing there is in Northern California?

I think we have more diversity than most places too.

Thanks Scott and Eric

Cool photos.............

It was a pretty darn good day out there. Only caught one Smallie of good size on a diver. Did get several little ones, some squaw fish, and I seemed to be a magnet for Green sunfish.

Scott, that fish is a beauty!!!! I'm glad we met up with you guys at the halfway point.
Eric, was good meeting you.

You never know who'll you run into out there. That's a nice photoshop job you did Scott, too bad I've still got the original pic.

You'd think from these pics that we were kind of crowded but me and Phil only met up with Scott and Eric for about half an hour or so. They came in from downstream and we came in from upstream. Then it was getting late and we had long walks out in opposite directions. Made it to the car at very last light.

What a great day!!! I had a blast. Nothing like 4 or 5 species of fish in one day... Anyway, here are some of the great shots from the outing:
