Help on the Feather and where to fish

Hey guys, decided to head up to the Feather tomorrow and have my first go at Northern California fly fishing. I am leaving from Silicon Valley area and was unable to line up a fishing buddy. So, I am hoping for some input on what stretches will be my best bet. I don't have a boat of any sort, so I will be hoofin' it. Any input at all would be GREATLY appreciated. And if you don't want to post, I would be so greatful of any PMs. Also, any input on what flies are good up there? Copper Johns, Hares Ear, Stoneflies? Thanks so much guys, I am sooo excited!!
