Has anyone been to Kirman Lake recently? I'm packing up my float tube and heading that way.

But be prepared to get there at first light to pound the spawners at the put-in. They'll be packed in there like carp. Some very pretty fish.

Try Red lake and Silver Lake too.

I ended up at Heenan Lake. Have a buddy working for DFG, who sits the lake over Fri, Sat & Sun. Great fun, big cuts! Took your advise and tried Red Lake... had a blast catching the brookies, one after another.... almost every cast. Good fun from a kayak.
