That's unreal Rick.......

We did catch big wild Steelhead on the Dean River in British Columbia 20 years ago but there was no hatch at the time. We used large Royal Wulffs.

Evan Jenkins met an old Scottish fly fishing in BC who told him that the correct way to catch Steelhead was on a dead drifted dry fly but this is usually with no hatch.

In February on the lower Yuba River in low water Steelhead will come up to big drakes and stone flies.

Herb Burton catches Steelhead on the Trinity River in the winter time on hatches for many years.
