Davis Lake in Nor Cal in October...........

October is usually a smokin' hot month at Davis Lake.

Actually October is good at almost any lakes.

This year with all that spring planting I would try to get up to Davis Lake in October.

Just a word of warning the boat ramp at Honker is in bad shape. Facing the lake the right side is unuseable - slited in. The other side is doable but if you've got a bigger boat that's tough to load it might be a good idea to bring along a friend.

It's to bad with the fee they're now charging you think they'd be able to keep it in shape. Otherwise, as Bill pointed out, the fishing ought to be great.
