I have a friend who tries every year to hit the Green Drake hatch up there in June.

It is probably good in October too.

The North Fork of the Feather River is good up there in October according to another friend.

I have never fished Yellow Creek near Belden. Only up south of
Almanor at Humbug Valley.

It's a spring creek up there versus more freestone near Belden.

And it's some tough FISHING! The wind blows during the day, so
about the only times good to fish are at first light and last light.

Supposedly some huge browns in there, but I've never been able
to muscle anything bigger than 10-12" out of there, and end up
leaving with my tail between my legs.

But that said, it is absolutely gorgeous in the meadow and there
is a PG&E campgroud that is close to the stream.

If you hit the Yellow near Belden, post a report.

Yellow Creek restoration 1978 -1988 - ?

Other than a friend who fishes it annually I have never heard of anyone having outstanding fishing there in the past 20 years?

My friend who fishes there says you need a hatch and you need to stay back from the water because the ground is squishy and the fish can tell you are there.

I have seen photos of the creek sense the restoration and it is very lush and beautiful.
