Received some early Trinity River fish counts today. The count period this year started on July 16th while last year the count began on June 18th. With the count period shy one month, this year's totals are obviously less. The weir is located near Junction City.
08 steelhead 30 07 steelhead 236
08 chinook 129 07 chinook 864
08 coho 0 07 coho 0
08 brown trout 76 08 brown trout 270 (browns greater than 41cm which is just over 16 inches)
I'll try to post a weekly total. May be a little late next week...will be in B.C. chasing steelies :D
