Hi Gang,
I have been messing around tying some fry and alevin patterns does anyone have a preferred one that they tie? ALso, a link or shot of it?

I know they are very popular on the Lower Feather River in Jan/Feb. This is the first place I saw them used maybe 15 years ago?

We use them on the Lower American River after the first of the year when they are very thick and that is all the steelhead want.

In Alaska they are popular too.

We have several different commercial patterns at the shop.

People talk about dead drifting them because they are not big swimmers at that stag.

Check out Sloan's American Alevin available through umpqua. It's always been good to me.
