Looking for good camping location this weekend?

"Bill,
I'm looking for a place this weekend where I can camp (cleared spot and a place for a fire or BBQ) and do a little light stream fishing. Open to still water too, but prefer streams. This is for me and my son and will be using my "truck tent".

I told him that I would go over to the coast or up to the high country in mid-August.

Anyone have a good recommendation for him, maybe where there is no fire and smoke?

Bill,
tell him to head up to Hope Valley, Phil was just up there last weekend with his wife and kids and it looked real nice. If he takes the Blue Lake turn off from highway 88 there is free camping just off the side of the road and there is also a small creek that is full of fish. I believe the fish are not that big but it seemed like a nice place to go. I plan on going up there myself one of these weekends just to get away.
