I buy most of my camera stuff from B&H in New York. Haven't had any problems with them.

There is that old saying, "if it looks too good to be true, it probably is."

If you ever have a question about an on-line store you should check out resellerratings.com. This will give you a good idea if you can trust them or if they are one of the many bait and switch scammers.

I would have to advise you to stay away from Sonic Cameras. I have bought all of my stuff from B&H and i have found that their prices are almost always close to the cheapest site you can find that is actually a reputable store.

Good luck with the purchase of a wonderful lens.

The lens could be a gray market lens. Nothing wrong with gray market except you don't get the USA warranty. I stay away from lenses made in Taiwan or China.

Paul,

I use B & H too along with Adorama. Adorama always has the lowest prices and full inventory to boot.

Paul,

Don't forget Amazon..often lower than B&H or Adorama.

I bought from all three over the years.

thanks to all for your advice I will be doing some more research on the store i buy from....... not just looking for the best price.......
Just like fly gear it matters who you buy from..... that is why most of my cash ends up at Kiene's the service is over the top before and after a sale.....
