I'm planning on fishing the river right through Boise in December. Any tips, advice, etc.? Including must see/eat stuff too. Where to stay, etc. Thanks!

Hey Big
I lived there for 6 years and fished in town almost every week.
That said, In December,I caught mostly white fish.
Most days in Dec. you will need VERY warm clothing.
If the weather gets below 25 degrees, just stay home.
Your guides will freeze and your line will be stiff as a board.
On the days above 32 you can catch a lot of white fish by short lining two size 18 renagades with a BB in between. You may get one or two trout but, not many.
Stay warm and good luck.
PS Yes, in Aug. and Sept. the river is full of CHICKS.
