Went out with my lovely wife for some brookie fishing, she took a little hike and spent the rest of the time getting some sun, while I played all day in the water. Got turned on to a location by a good friend "thanks much buddy" and had the best day of brookie fishing so far. Where Ed took me last time was beautiful and worth the climb, but this place is easy access and just incredible. The whole place is like a big meadow with creeks running through tall grass, in some parts I got fish in less than 12" wide with 2-3 feet tall grass all around. And being stealth was an important factor. The biggest brookiw came out of the smallest water. Needless to say I have a new place I will be fishing alot. I also think this maybe be the all time skinnest water I have ever seen, and I pulled fish out of it.

Nice job, Scotty! Its hard to beat the beauty of a high country meadow and brook trout!

How do you feel about doing the Upper Sac or Pit this weekend?

O-kay Scott, I'm officially jealous. Not only did you get to catch brook trout (which I have never caught), but you got your wife to come too. I wish I could get my wife out there with me (maybee someday).

Hey, I show you my spot if you show me yours :D .

I'm taking a class on the trukee next week end but we should try to hook up. Maybe the North Yuba. It would be nice to see it with the temp over 40 degress.

Couldn't tell ya, you weren't there to prep them for me, like you did on those bluegills.
