Streams and creaks near South Lake Tahoe closer to Meyers

Hi,
I will in South Lake Tahoe for the weekend and a few extra days. Looking for suggestions to streams and creeks nearby, other than the Truckee, LT, and Carson. I will be taking a family friend with me for the first time, too. Please feel free to PM and we can swap fishing spots to different rivers.

You could hike up Eagle Falls out of Emerald Bay to Eagle Lake. Lots of browns in the lake up there and nice scenery looking back at the lake.

There is some nice fishing near the airport and golf course near south shore. Not sure what the regs are there.

If you hike in about three miles from either the Big Meadows TH or Carson Pass, you'll get the headwaters region of the Upper Truckee. Lots of small eager cutthroats.

The lower stretch of the Upper Truckee (can drive up to this just off hwy 88) also has good fishing for rainbows and a few brookies.
