I'm back from Florida and fished the delta three times, Monday, Tuesday and Friday, all evenings. Monday resulted in a dozen fish, three four pounders, eight 3 pounders and one two pounder. I was fishing alone and started at 5:30. Tuesday I fished with my wife and Sturmer. We ended the night with 17 fish. They were smaller than Monday's fish but still decent.

Friday, Leo and I fished in howling wind for about 31/2 hours. In addition to the wind, low tide fell at 7:30, right in the middle of prime time so we quit early. Nevertheless, we boated nine fish, again, big fish with my five pound plus fish topping the catch. Leo stuck a four pounder and between us we ended up with a couple more threes and then smaller fish.

Here's a shot of my largest and Leo's as well. Leo was screwing around pretending that his back hurt and he couldn't lift the fish so the shot doesn't do the fish justice.

I'll be out again Sunday morning and Monday evening.

Jerry...Did you catch any with the"Jurgler?" I've managed a couple of bass at the local pond using it.

Later...

No, I was using the foam poppers made from flip flops, instructions on my website. Now that the weeds are out in force I should dig out my jurglers. I get in a habit and then don't do much until things don't work.

I'm going out tomorrow morning and the jurgler will be a good choice in the late morning since it will be low tide and the weeds will definitely be a problem.

If you want to learn how to make the foam poppers from flip flops go here and click on the link on the left, how to make foam poppers.
