Fished the wickedly fast river this morning. Started at Paradise and saw another FF'er catch one. I got skunked. Used 350 gr Teeny on my 7wt and still had a difficult time bumping bottom. Flows were insane.
Later in the morning, I fished below Watt Ave just downstream of a group of spey casters near the bridge. They looked like they were getting a lot of practice without much catching success. I managed one small male from the riffle on the south side of the island. Didn't bother to take a picture because I was too danged scared of getting dunked and dragged downstream. Slow day, big flows.
