This is the time to head for many mid-elevation trout lakes while the fish are still shallow and feeding on bugs.
The list is too long to mention. Davis, Frenchman's, McCumber, Manzanita, Baum, Indian Creek, Fuller..........actually there are hundreds of fly fishing lakes in California. Maybe thousands?
