Right now you could be fishing bass and panfish or Shad after work during the week if you live in these parts.
Many trout lakes and trout streams at mid-elevation are coming into their prime time now.
The Upper Sac is perfect now and will be for a month or more.
The main Truckee River usually gets going at 56 degrees and around mid-June so it will be going well soon too. Green Drakes will be out soon. 4th of July is always a target time for the main Truckee River which is only 1.5 hours from Sacramento.
Davis Lake is in shape with damsel swimming on top in the mornings (8am-11am) if their is low winds?
This is a wonderful month for fly fishing in Nor Cal.
Don't wait till August unless you are fishing the high country or Montana.
