This is the smallest creek i have ever fished . It's full of Cutthroat and is so beautiful right now . We finally have spring weather , but it's still raining at least three times a week . It's sure nice for watering the lawns . :D As a child i lived in Truckee and fished Trout Creek . It was only two- three feet at it widest , but some places 3-4 feet deep .

Here is a photo of Spawn Creek .

Beautiful creek Rob. I love fishing small water like that. Here is a pic of Slinkard Creek. The scenery doesn't compare, but it's real small and loaded with Cutts.

Rob, That is a very cool picture and a beautiful little creek.

Since we seem to be talking about small creeks, here is Mountaineer Creek near Monitor Pass. Tiny water and ferocious brookies.

Cool videos Rob :) . Did you have a polarized filter??, there seemed to be some glare, but no problems seeing the fish.

I might have to dig out my 7'6" #4 cane rod?

Some years back we went up in the high country out of Mammoth Lakes on a horse packing trip with Red's Meadows Pack Station. There were small streams that flowed in and out of the lakes up there at 10,000 feet.

Those streams were loaded with small wild trout.

This is a very nice thread.................

The videos remind me of a small Alpine creek I spent camping at every weekend for 5 summers within 2 hours of Sac. It's full of brookies plus you can go snowboarding during the mid-day to kill some time. 80 degrees and sitting on the snow in boardshorts like you were at the beach. The best day I had there was when I caught 53 in one hour standing in one spot. Caddis hatches were so thick in the evenings that it was surreal. The way gas prices are I'll be lucky if I make it up there once or twice this summer. Jeff C.

The promised pictures. Fished a small mountain creek today with a friend who shared this "un-named" piece of water with me last year. It has never failed to produce. I landed 5 or 6, he landed about a dozen. Many 10-13" fish today. Slipped and dinged up my dang Abel, nevermind my body. It'll heal. The little Winston made it through without a scratch. All fish were caught using #14 stimulators. Yellow Sallys were hatching everywhere.

A wide plunge pool.
