Frank,
My guess is that it is all about "water contracts." The flow has also been raised in the Feather. It is my understanding that there is still not enough water in the Feather for the shad to get over the falls below Yuba City. We live in a complex society. Water is drawn out of the rivers for for many reasons from ag. use to metro use and on to the prevention of salt water intrusion. More water is a good thing...as long as there is enough when we need it this Fall.

It's funny how that we're kind of led to believe we should be grateful for the this water coming down the 'pipe' when in actuality, this is the normal run off (flow) from snow melt that the ecosystem is supposed to receive for this time of year!

The river and their inhabitants (part time and full timers) were all screwed up this spring when the rivers ran low, slow, and clear.

It's a complicated mess with all 'fingers' pointed at the $$$.

2K is lot better than the 1K that was trickling down about a month ago.

It was around 2,000 last night around 7:30. The water rose pretty high in a matter of 2 hours from 5 til 7.

Yeah, the river looked better yesterday. The water was a little stained but overall the river was looking happier.
