First time at Clear Lake

My fishing buddies wife is in a tennis tournament at Konocti Resort. He is up there with his kayak and I will take my kayak up tomorrow. I've never fished Clear Lake and assume we will fish arournd the resort. I will take my fly rod and several patterns up, and a good supply of sun block. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Fishing the edges where the the rocks meet the greenery with a deer hair frog or popper either early or late in the day usually works for me. Toss it to the shore and work it out slow. Let us know how you did. Dave

I guess I will not be going up afterall. My fishing buddies wife just called to let me know that he is down and out with the flu. I'll save the frogs I tied for another day.
