Rick Jorgensen, Rick's brother, Don Rotsma, John Barrena, John's friend(?) and I have a trip set up for July 2009 to 'Isla del Sabalo' on the remote west side of the Mexican Yucatan peninsula. The lodge only takes 6 anglers so our trip is full now.
We have all fished together in past years at Isla Blanca (Cancun) and at Tarpon Cay Lodge (San Felipe) in the Yucatan.
I know this is over a year out but we are seasoned travelers and know that we have to get way out to get prime weeks with good tides at top lodges.
We recommend booking a year out to get the best weeks at the best lodges, especially for groups.
There is still spaces left for this summer of 2008 in the Yucatan lodges.
