I ventured out for my first trout trip of this season to fish yellow creek. After waking up late due to an alarm clock malfunction, I arrived too late for good early fishing. Unfortunately From 9-1 I saw no rising fish, and the light level made sneaking up on fish extremely difficult. Fortunately I brought my new slr with me, so instead of catching fish I was "catching" pictures. I was very optimistic of the pictures that I took, unfortunately I am not totally pleased, they're not bad but they're not great.... but I wanted to share some with you guys.

This is a pretty little creek now, and just wait until I takes pictures when the wild flowers are out and about.

I was happy to see these clouds roll in. The wood is fro the old fences that were built by fisherman to keep the cattle out.

I can't wait to get beck there to take pictures of this creek surrounded by wild flowers, and to catch some more of those wild browns........
however small they may be.

I like number one the best. If you go back, i would try to get closer and use a wider angle if possible. It would be nice to see more of the stream.

Also, I remember your Yellow Creek post from last year with the wildflowers, so if you go back when they are out you should have a lot of fun.

Ben, I wish that I could have gotten a wider shot but I do not own a wide lens .......yet. My lens stops at 28mm, which is approximately 50mm in the film world. After I get my extra tax money I hope to get a Sigma 17-70 lens, that will solve my missing wide-angled shots problem.
