John Peterson from the 'Granite Bay Fly-casters' came over today out of the goodness of his heart to show our staff how to do our own welded loops on fly lines and how to splice fly lines together too.

It is so simple that it is almost funny now.

John says you need a good 110volt/AC two speed heat gun. You can get them from 'Harbor Freight' for around $10.00.

On the end you need a metal spout that will funnel down the heat to a small oval blast.

You need some different size small clear heat shrink tubing that you can get at many electronics stores.

We should be set up in a few days to be able to demonstrate how this is down.

Thanks to great guys like Steve Godshall and John Peterson for sharing this new technique with us all.
