Stripers are swimming north as we speak so there are lots of place to go after them now, mostly on or near the Sacramento River. They are scattered out above and below town now.
All the lower elevation Valley rivers have bugs hatching so fly fishing for small Steelhead and resident trout is good.
Bass and panfish reports are starting now.
Shad are at the mouth of the American and Feather Rivers now.
May is huge in and around Sacramento.
