Hey Folks!

Dana and I got out this last weekend with the kayaks and really enjoyed the great weather even if the fishing was pretty limited. Her brother came up for the weekend and we made a quick run out to Rancho Seco on Saturday and then out to Salmon Falls on Folsom Lake on Sunday. I caught a few very small bass out at Seco and so did my brother-in law. Dana just spent her time with the camera. All in all it was nice to get out. Here are just a couple pictures.

Heading up the hill after a pleasant morning paddling around at Salmon Falls!

That is about it folks, nice to get out even if the fishing wasn’t red hot.

Hey Bill

Looks like your using a 1973 (?) Fenwick feralite .
I have a 7 1/2 6wt (use 4 wt line ) that i use on all the small rivers her in Utah. The fiberglass loads so easy and i find myself using it more than my Sage rods .

Hey Rob,

You are correct in that the rod is an old Fenwick glass rod, not exactly sure of the vintage but I have had it for many years. It is a 6 wt, 8 ½ footer and I do like it a lot. I have wore most of the writing off it <g>. Here are a couple photos of me using it a few weeks back on Pyramid Lake with some nice cutthroats.

My biggest fish of the trip with the old fenwick tucked under the arm :)

Checked out your website, beautiful photos you have there. My wife is also a real photography fan and loves outdoor photography.

Best wishes!

Bill

Great report Bill. Dana's boat is a work of art.

Have been enjoying an old Fenwick a bit myself.
