Upper Rogue Steelhead

Went early this AM with my neighbor. Ideal steelhead weather with overcast skies and light snow falling that didn't stick. He hooked 5 and landed 3 included a wild jack of about 13 pounds. I hooked 6 and landed 2 including a wild buck of about 28"s and this 24" hatchery female.

Wow she is a beauty, good job. One of these days I am going to have to experience the Rogue.

Have just updated my fishing logs. Have now fished six seasons on the Rogue and have caught & released 250 adult steelhead(my measure of an adult is 17" or better). With about a 60% landing rate that says I have hooked about 400 adult fish. What a wonderful resource with excellent fishing from 5-45 minutes from the house from Sep-Apr. Only regret is that I didn't come here sooner.
