April/May is wild around Sacramento with Steelhead in most rivers, Stripers spread around too, Shad on there way upriver and Black Bass and panfish headed for the beads to spawn.
This is that wonderful time of year, especially without flooding, to go for a lot of local fly fishing.
Don't wait for summer.....it's hear now and will get better by the week.
We have Stripers in the Delta, American, Feather and Sacramento now.
Lots of trout are shallow and hungry in many low elevation lakes too.
Steelhead and resident trout in most valley rivers eating caddis and other available protien.
It's spring..........time to get out there while it's going well and it's not 100 degrees.
With low flows like this spring everything starts out earlier too.
