Launched out of Wimpy's and tried out Beaver Slough on Saturday. Wind was terrible, and it was very hard to hold the boat in place along the banks. Water temps were 60-62 degrees, and visibility was about 2 feet.
LOTS of bait balls. Used a gray/white Super Minnow (like clouser). Found 8 stripes from 2:30 pm to around 5:00 pm; 2 "squeezers/dinks", 5 keepers and 1 REALLY FAT 8 lb'er! Had to let the line sink at least 15 seconds to get down far enough to find them. They were down deep....
