The Fly Fishers of Davis will host Jerry Neuburger on March 25 at Harper Junior High School for a program on fly fishing in the Sacramento/San Joaquin Delta. Jerry has lived in the central valley of California for almost 60 years, fished for over 55 of those years and fly fished for close to 25 years. He has caught over 50 species of fish on a fly rod including a long list of fresh water and salt water species. He loves fishing and loves being on his boat, the "No Nonsense" where he is always looking for the ultimate striper. He has guided in California, Oregon and Mexico for five years, and co-founded “Al and Jerry’s Excellent Adventures.” He’s been president of the Northern California Council Federation of Fly Fishers and the Delta Fly Fishers and he’s been published in California Fly Fisher. Join us for this most interesting and entertaining program. The meeting starts at 7:30 with time for visiting, and the program begins at 8:00. Guests and visitors are welcome, and there will be no lies told in the fishing reports. For more information see the club’s web page at http://www.dcn.davis.ca.us/go/ffd/ or call Lowell Ashbaugh at (530) 758-6722.
