Check with 'King's News & Tackle' in Guerneville or 'Western Sport Shop' in Santa Rosa.

Been snooping it for the last week about. There are still some fresh fish traveling the system. LOTS of spent fish now. Smolts galore.....silver salmon and steelhead smolts have been released from the hatchery.
These guys are fresh and were just off the maistem last week.

Jim,
Like Carl says, the river is high.....the damn dams.
We ran the dogs a bit and tossed bugs a bit too this afternoon. About three hours worth. Two spent fish brushed by us on their way down and what appeared to be a blue back came out of the tailout to inspect us on his way up.
Yep, it may be high water, but at least it ain't empty water, as is often the case with the Russian now days.

Shocking you have ANY fish left in the Russian !

Last time I drove down highway 1 ..... there must have been 150 Sea Lions sunning on the spit down there at the mouth . I would think fish have little chance runnin' that gauntlet !
