We are getting reports on Nor Cal valley rivers and streams about resident trout and smaller Steelhead now.
Bugs are starting to hatch and egg imitations always work. Small streamers are good too.
I would look at all of them you can get to now.
Lower American, Lower Yuba, Lower Feather, Lower Sacramento to name only a few.
Ed Schroeder in Fresno told me he was getting them on the King's River down there.

Bass & Panfish are just starting to wake up as the temperature in ponds, reservoirs and sloughs rise some.

Stripers are waking up and heading north to spawn in April/May near Colusa on the Sacramento River. Right now they should be found in the lower American and lower Feather and some are still in the Delta.
