Fellow anglers,

rowed the American today, March 13, and was pleasantly surprised, more
like blown away. We had perfect conditions this morning when the magic
happened. We hooked/LDR'd enough fish to make me forget that we were
on the American. Point of the story... If you need to get out, give it a whirl,
we stuck fish on sucker egg patterns, a variety of salmon/steelhead egg
patterns, pt's, caddis, and velveeta.

She hasn't sung yet, this river has more to offer for this season!

If you would like a detailed report send me a message and I will send you a link to the blog.

Regards,
-RM

The Lower American River can be very good for resident Rainbow trout and Steelhead in March, April and May.

Lots of caddis activity can get the fish feeding in the afternoons.

Only when that summer heat comes do things slow a bit.
