Went out to Cameron Park after work just to scout it and see what is happening. I took my spinning rod with me just for kicks, and some of my go to 4" reapers. The lake has lowered a bit, I can see the tops of weeds sticking out here and there. I saw around a dozen or more bass next to shore crusing around, and this time they didn't spook when I got close to them. After I got around to the back side I decided to throw a weightless worm to see what happens. In about a matter of a half hour I caught around 10 or so largemouth. Nothing big, but that is Cameron Park for you. It was an aggresive bite for sure. The water has warmed up, so the lake is good to go in my opinion. As I was gettin to leave I saw a sign that showed what fish were in the lake, and to my suprise I saw there are smallmouth. Has anyone ever caught a smallmouth at Cameron Park?
