Interesting thread on the Spey Pages on the use of a boga grip. Seems there is some literature out ther that indicates not to lift a large fish vertically - Guess I have been known to do this and certainly the guides do it when tarpon fishing - think maybe some education on this might protect the fish a bit better

Enlightening thread Rick - thanks. I've been playing with the idea of picking one (boga Grip) up for the Delta. I guess if you need to weight the fish weighing the net is the way to go.

Interesting Rick.

For the past few years I am trying to impact fish less now by barely touching them. I use a barbless hook and try to leave them in the water and just slide the hook out. I know catching and releasing fish can be fatal at times.

Maybe we should all just use that Boga less?
