I love the bigger LCD screen on the 40D.

That's a great investment Adam.

Nice work Adam. The pics look great! What mode did you shoot most of them in?

I have been using the full manual mode. My other cameras haven't had full manual control like this camera. I really like the lens included in this kit, 28-135mm IS USM lens. This lens offers me a great way to start out in the D-SLR market, especially since I will not be able to buy another lens for a while.......until I pay off this hefty investment in my camera.

I can't wait until I get a flash and or travel some place more beautiful and interesting. I am still waiting to get my circular polarizer, that will make my outside pictures much better. I have only read a very small amount of my user's manual, I can't wait to learn more about the control that my new camera offers me. I want to be able to control every little aspect of this camera to achieve my desired photographic effect.

I hope to post more, and better pictures sometime soon. I will hopefully have a bunch of time during spring break to experiment and play around with my new toy . :D

I have been on a flower "kick" lately due to their sprintime abundance. I need to go somewhere interesting and beautiful to shoot some landscapes. At least I'm havng fun with my new toy :D

Don, I would love to head back over to your neck of the woods. On my two previous trips to Hawaii I have taken roughly 1000 picture per week, I love the exotic flowers in Hawaii.

Here are some of my favorite flower pictures from Hawaii:

Don, that would be a great achievement to make a camera that also captured smells.
